Hoop Mountain prides itself in providing opportunities year round for players who aspire to play at the highest possible level.

It is our mission to provide the best programs and staff to fully meet the various basketball and fitness needs of our participants. Hoop Mountain provides maximum exposure to college and prep school scouts. The organization provides young basketball players with the highest level of coaching, elite competition, and allows each athlete to develop a sense of pride and accomplishment. Hoop Mountain is determined to create an unmatched basketball atmosphere.

Year Round Basketball Programs Make the Difference!

Our programs include spring and fall senior exposure nights, summer exposure camps, position and shooting camps, invitational tournaments, and personal instruction. Camps are held all over the country.

If you are passionate about becoming a better basketball player, then you should attend one or more of the Hoop Mountain programs. Hoop Mountain draws the best scholastic basketball athletes from all over the United States. Not only are campers exposed to different styles of play; the atmosphere exudes intensity, competition, and non stop excitement.

Why Hoop Mountain is #1

Hoop Mountain National Exposure Basketball Camps and Recruiting Showcases were recently rated #1 in the country when combining College Exposure, Competition and Instruction by a number of major basketball scouting services. For more than 20 years, Hoop Mountain Basketball Camps and Recruiting Showcases have given basketball players an opportunity to improve their skills, play against top competition from all over the country and the world and be seen by hundreds of College Basketball Coaches and Basketball Scouting Services.

Hoop Mountain recruits top coaches from around the nation to coach at its camps. These include Head and Assistant College Basketball Coaches, Top High School Coaches and Top AAU Coaches. These coaches all share a love for teaching the game and developing players. Players will be pushed to improve their basketball skills and understanding of the game by these coaches.

Hoop Mountain maintains a great relationship with many College Basketball Coaches. Following each Basketball Camp and Recruiting Showcase, Hoop Mountain will send a detailed report on each player in the camp to every Division 1, 2 and 3 Head Coach in the country as well as many Assistant Coaches. These reports have helped thousands of players gain recruitment and earn scholarships.

Our Location:

Hoop Mountain National Exposure Basketball Camps and Recruiting Showcases are held at Family First Sports Park, which is located in Erie, Pennsylvania. Family First is considered to be one of the top basketball facilities in the country as it has 14 Basketball Courts on its campus. The Main Gym features four regulation-size wood basketball courts which during the winter serve as the practice home of the NBA Development League’s Erie Bay Hawks. Family First also features an “Olympic Village” where all summer campers will stay. This village includes housing for over 800 people, a full cafeteria that serves great meals, two lounges with big screen televisions and Direct TV, and a game room with ping pong tables, air hockey and many other activities. Located next to the Olympic Village is the Family First Fun Center. This area includes a huge Go Kart Track, Bumber Boats, Miniature Golf and Driving Range as well as many other great activities. Though the players are attending for basketball, we allow them to relax and have Fun at the Fun Center during their break after lunch and after their evening games are over. College Exposure:

Hoop Mountain Basketball Camps are known all around the world for its great relationship with College Basketball Coaches.

Hundreds of College Basketball Coaches of all levels will evaluate at the Hoop Mountain Basketball Camps in 2009. This gives every Hoop Mountain camper a chance to be seen and to improve their recruitment.

Our Director:

Hoop Mountain National Exposure Basketball Camps and Recruiting Showcases are directed by Coach Daryn Freedman, Director of Hoop Mountain PA, who spent 9 years as a Division 1 Assistant at UMass, University of Memphis, Northeastern University and Duquesne University, as well as 4 years working in the NBA with the New Jersey Nets and Philadelphia 76ers. Coach Freedman maintains great relationships with thousands of College Basketball Coaches around the country and has helped hundreds of players improve their recruiting and earn scholarships. Hoop Mountain has a solid relationship with hundreds of college and prep school basketball coaches. Many scouting services including the National High School and Prep School Scouting Service are present at Hoop Mountain events to evaluate and rank players.
